The Spindustry Digital marketing team led a discussion with area marketers at the Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau 2013 Marketing & Media Panel event. The event was held Thursday, May 9 at the Blank Park Zoo.
Michael Bird, president of Spindustry Digital, discussed the three stages of developing a marketing plan with an emphasis on looking beyond standard ROI metrics. After discussion on each stage, the attendees tackled that component of the marketing plan at their respective tables. The marketers were asked to dream big for a fictitious company, thinking beyond traditional boundaries, and evolve the big idea into a tactical plan that could be executed. The ideas presented by the participants were fun in nature but strategic in the potential for sales growth and connection with customers.
Following the workshop, a media panel of local journalists, news anchors and brand managers covered how to pitch business story ideas to the impact social media has had on traditional media sources.
The Spindustry Digital team greatly enjoyed the conversation, ideas and questions from all participants! Whether you attended the event or missed this opportunity, if you’d like to talk about your marketing planning and campaign execution, contact us and we’ll help you create. design. connect.
