The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is the largest non-profit animal shelter in Iowa. The ARL provides a variety of services including pet adoption, humane education, pet behavior training, spaying and neutering services, and animal cruelty intervention.
Challenge
The ARL needed the continual ability to update site information, especially available animals, at all times. ARL also wanted to provide more information about caring for an animal and available programs.
Solution
The ARL partnered with Spindustry to give the site a new design and the ability for ARL staff to manage site content through a content management system. Spindustry created various feature areas for the ARL to promote pets, sign up for the e-newsletter, view programs and trainings, and donate.
Results
The ARL is pleased with the new site design and functionality. They have seen increases in online donations, through both the traditional donate now method, as well as the online “sponsor a pet program.” The ARL has also seen an increase in requests about potential pets and program information.
