The Red Rock Area is a central Iowa destination that provides unique offerings to residents, businesses, and tourists and is promoted by the Marion County Development Commission.
Challenge
Red Rock Area needed a way to segment information by user groups. Information relevant to a business may different than what a tourist is seeking. Also, Red Rock Area wanted a Quick Links section to allow users to more easily and quickly get to information regarding what to do and where to go in the area.
Solution
Spindustry worked with Red Rock Area to determine the major categories of information users would be seeking. Each group was color coded and that coloring stays with relevant information throughout the site. In addition to displaying key information about restaurants, lodging, camping, and shopping areas, Spindustry created the ability for businesses to login and update their own key information as needed.
Results
Red Rock Area is able to direct users to the website a key resource to finding information. With businesses keeping profiles updated and Red Rock Area staff adding recent news, users always have up to date information.
